TERP (Tohoku Earthquake Relief Project) London was established to provide support to the to the area hit by the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake on 11 March 2011 and receives help from voluntary office workers, entrepreneurs, experts in various fields, housewives and students based in London. It aims to provide long-term support to the area over the next five years. TERP London is the European recovery platform hub for disseminating information in both English and Japanese, providing exchanges between people, and coordinating activities.
Seven Beach Aid supports projects in and around Shichigahama and Sendai City. Their three main areas of activity are lifting the spirits of the tsunami victims, collecting donations for the disaster-hit area, and raising awareness of the disaster-hit area amongst UK residents, particularly those living in London.
