ICN x pixiv

ICN x Pixiv - 300/2,000,000

ICN gallery (Hexaproject London Limited) in cooperation with pixiv will display and sell illustrations at the “ICN x pixiv - 300/2,000,000” exhibit. For this exhibit, ICN gallery will curate approximately 300 original illustrations submitted to the 'pixiv festival'. All will be available for purchase, with the selected illustration work printed on site. Profits from the sale of these works will be donated to the Japan Society Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund as part of HYPER JAPAN's Genki Giving initiative.

Japan's latest net community emerging from enthusiast from the Internet era, digital native generation and Japan’s Otaku Culture. Pixiv is Japan's largest illustration communication social network site and has in just 3 and a half years grown to have 3 million accounts and over 19 million illustrations. In just an average day they have over 24,000 illustrations uploaded and per month average 1.5 billion page views (as of May 2011).

Focusing on pop culture artists and other forms of contemporary Japanese culture, ICN gallery will have its grand opening in Shoreditch, London on September 8th.
