What is Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game? At HYPER JAPAN 2012 Christmas, you can explore the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG was developed in 1999 by Konami Entertainment, based on the highly successful Manga series.
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is a player versus player battle-based trading card game in which competitiors draw cards from their decks and take turns playing cards onto "the field." Each player builds their own deck before starting a game, or they can use a purpose build structure deck. Starting with 8000 "Life Points" players use monster cards to attack, spells and traps to provide a variety of functions to either defend, attack or change their game. Most monster cards also have extra abilities of their own which help to build on the strategy of the game. The first person to reduce their opponents life points to zero is declared the winner. Sounds simple but with 1,000's of cards to build your deck from, the game has endless possibilities to explore. Since the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG it has claimed many awards for its design and growth and became the Guinness Record holder of the world's most successful trading card game. |
