HYPER JAPAN 2012 Spring

The Milky Holmes Show was a headline show on the HYPER JAPAN stage on Saturday 2nd October! We met the four voice actresses behind the main characters, watched them perform their theme song, and had a chat with them onstage!

Mikoi Sasaki (Hercule Burton), Sora Tokui (Nero Yuzurizaki), Suzuko Mimori (Sherlock Shellinford) and Izumi Kitta (Cordelia Glauca)wowed the crowed with their live performance of Ameagari no Mirai and Neppu Tairiku Bushiroad.

Milky Holmes is produced by Bushiroad, the Milky Holmes franchise extends through games software (PSP), manga, TV anime series, internet content, radio and novels.

For those who don't know yet, Milky Holmes is about four girls who want to become detectives; they are all named after famous fictional detectives: Sherlock (Holmes), Nero (Wolfe), Hercule (Poirot) and Cordelia (Gray). The girls have been selected by a man called Kobayashi who used to be a detective but lost his powers. They each have a special power, called ‘TOYS’, which they can use to fight criminals. Milky Holmes is a classic ‘detectives versus criminals’ story, set in the near future. Follow the girls as they use powers of detection to capture the criminals, and battle against their rivals, Genius 4, a group of four girls without TOYS who work for the police.

At the end of August, Milky Holmes took part in Anime Song Live, a massive summer celebration of anison (anime songs) by artists who are big in Japan and the rest of the world. The Milky Holmes anime will be broadcast in Japan from October 2010, and the PSP game will be launched in December 2010.

Sherlock is a bright, cheerful girl. Sometimes she flusters but she is very sharp. Her TOYS is telekinetic power where she can move things without touching.

Nero is very active, emotionally attached to animals, and pure but can also lose her temper. Nero’s TOYS is that she can get information and control electronic devices.

Hercule is a very shy girl, not a detective personality but she has the strength to harden things and carry heavy weights so she has the most fighting power of the four Milky Holmes girls.

Cordelia is the oldest and most reliable but can be a bit rough in the way she does things. Her TOYS is her specialised five senses: touch, taste, hearing, eyesight and smell.
